About Us

After having studied and worked in the U.K. for 30 years, I decided to return to Cyprus, where I was born, and create a little oasis for myself. That was the year 2000. I bought this 6-dönüm piece of land, which had been unkept for 25 years. It took one year to clean it, and I started planting in 2001. When the gardens began to take shape, I was put under pressure by people around me to open it to the public. So, on May 14, 2003, it was opened to the public by our late President, Mr. R.R. Denktaş.

Temporary Absence
When I took retirement from landscaping business in 2018 I decided to restore an old cottage inherited from my parents in the Village of Geçitkale together with landscaped gardens.
So Babil Bahçeleri was rented out, unfortunately incoming tenant could not handle the maintenance of the gardens, June 2022 had to return.
