About Us

After having studied and worked in U.K. for 30 year. I decided to return to Cyprus where I was born and create a little oasis for myself that was year 2000, bought this piece of land which was unkept for 25 years. It took one year to clean it started planting 2001. When the gardens started taking shape I was put under pressure by people around me to open it to public. So, year 2003 14th May it was opened for public by our Late President Mr. Denktaş.

Temporary Absence
When I took retirement from landscaping business in 2018 I decided to restore an old cottage inherited from my parents in the Village of Geçitkale together with landscaped gardens.
So Babil Bahçeleri was rented out, unfortunately incoming tenant could not handle the maintenance of the gardens, June 2022 had to return.
